Job Description

Are you interested in working for the NHS? The NHS is the biggest employer in the UK!  There are many roles and entry points into the NHS.  The Imperial College NHS Trust, operating several services in North West London, including St Mary's General Hospital in Paddington, are recruiting entry level roles. Full training given.  You do not need experience, but you do need an interest, passion and motivation for working in healthcare and delivering for patients and colleagues!

Admin, Clerical & Reception

The NHS has to be well-organised and keep detailed records of patients and staff. Patients and other organisations need to be able to contact the NHS, to see or speak to the right person who can give them the help they need. That could be booking an appointment, getting advice or paying an invoice.

Receptionists are often the first person our patients see.

They use customer service and admin skills to welcome people to a hospital, health centre, clinic or NHS headquarters. 

NHS administrative staff provide business support to clinical and non-clinical staff. 

 

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare Assistants make sure the patient experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It can also be the stepping stone into many other NHS roles. 

Healthcare Assistants have a very important tole to play in patient care.  You will be working directly with patients, engaging with patients to make them feel safe and supported.  You will carry out vital checks on patients and ensure the wards and hospital areas are safe, clean and tidy.

Comprehensive training is given to all Healthcare Assistants and continuous development is available.

Healthcare Assistants are critical to the patient care and the successful running of hospitals.

Candidate Requirements 

- Passion and interest in Healthcare

- Interest in working for the NHS,

- Interest and passion to deliver first class patient care 

- Willingness to learn 

- Reliability, Punctuality, Communications, Team Work, Caring
