About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Stores Operative to support the Executive Chef and catering team in delivering high-quality food and service.You will play a key role in maintaining food standards, compliance, and operational excellence in line with Sodexo policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in ensuring food quality, safety, and hygiene throughout the full food cycle in line with HACCP standards

  • Support and guide catering staff to perform their roles to a high standard

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and site Health & Safety, OH&S, COSHH, fire, hygiene, and safe working practices

  • Monitor, maintain, and report on the safe use and condition of all equipment

  • Maintain agreed stock levels and place orders with Sodexo-nominated suppliers

  • Ensure financial documentation, supplier invoices, and unit accounts are accurate and within budget

  • Ensure the unit meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and internal audit standards

  • Contribute to positive client relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Support company initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the unit

  • Ensure the establishment, equipment, and monies are safe and secure at all times

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in catering services

  • Experience working in a standards- or compliance-driven environment

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications or training

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Passion for food, service, and innovation

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
