The Community Barista Training at Redemption Roasters is designed to support people age 16-30 who are prison-leavers or have a history of offending.
When you apply for this role, a Jobs, Education & Training (JET) Advisor from Centrepoint will be in contact with you to support you with your application. It will be required that you meet with a JET Advisor from Centrepoint to complete the application for this programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our program aims to reduce reoffending behaviour amongst the prison population.
As a wholesale coffee supplier and cafe business, we are uniquely positioned to train, inspire, recruit and refer our learners into a future career within the industry.
The details
• Exclusively for those aged 16 - 30 with previous convictions or those who are at risk of crime.
• Each learner’s place is fully funded.
• Session times: 9:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 9:30am - 1:30pm Friday.
• A light lunch will be provided.
Learners who pass our course will have access to an Employment Coach and will be supported into interviews with the aim of securing meaningful employment within the Hospitality & Coffee industry.
• We require a fully completed and signed course referral form 7 days prior to the course start date.
• Once course places are allocated we will be in touch to confirm with yourselves and the Learner.
• If the specific dates applied for are overbooked, we will rearrange participation on different dates.
